Lauren is the principal designer and founder of Sixth and Design. She has always been drawn to beauty in the aesthetic. Whether in art, nature, creativity, literature, or in simplicity; it is a constant source of inspiration. And, so are the people and homes that Lauren gets to create with her clients. For Lauren, creating spaces that truly feel like home is something that is always accompanied with excitement and joy.

Lauren’s aesthetic is rooted in natural materials like lime wash paint, plaster, tadelakt, stone, wood; and in the ways in which light and shadow create mood and feeling. The inherent way that nature inspires a sense of calm and comfort is always in mind. Visually, Lauren leans into color blocking and bringing in texture through movements and layers in natural materials.

When she’s not immersed in and joyously overthinking design (so you don’t have to!), she’s most likely reading curled up with her dog Cece, out on a hike, or sharing wine with friends. Cheers to loving home.
